  5. Logistics:
Considering the high cost of domestic flights, most participants prefer to come to New Delhi instead of Mumbai while reaching India. Most international flights land at New Delhi late in the night. This necessitates either travelling overnight to Jaipur, or staying over in Delhi for the night before taking an early morning transport to Jaipur.
In either case, depending upon the time of arrival, participants may require accommodation for the night of February 21 also, either in Delhi and/or in Jaipur. The accommodation in Jaipur can be booked in the same hotel on request.

Transport from Delhi to Jaipur

While the organisers do not want to make a recommendation for the preferred mode of transport from Delhi to Jaipur, the following information may help.

  1. The driving time from Delhi to Jaipur is approx. 5 hours.
  2. There are a few flights in the early morning. A jet airways flight leaves at 05:45 from the domestic terminal and takes 45 minutes to reach Jaipur. There is a waiting lounge at the international terminal (your arrival terminal) and a free shuttle for taking passengers to the  domestic terminal. Waiting time + time for transfer to domestic terminal may be ~ an hour. There is also an Indian airlines flight that leaves from the international terminal. It is advisable to book the domestic ticket also in advance.
  3. Depending upon your arrival time in New Delhi, you may choose either (i) or (ii). Please plan keeping in mind that it may take as much as one hour to clear the immigration and get the luggage at the Delhi airport.
  4. It is possible to book a hotel in Delhi. However, any hotel in any near vicinity of the airport will cost upwards of 125 Euros.
